The first full moon of spring, 2013.
My Etsy shop is restocked with new postcards!
A Music section has been added for my band, Darvaz.
2013 initially felt like an ensnared ankle and now I can't even recall why. In these past few months, most things for me have either improved or balanced out drastically. From new employment to new additions to my back tattoo (by my favorite artist), and onward with projects in plant cultivation and at the very least, ideas for future paintings. Gestating a brain child is better than a baren wasteland of a psyche, right? 2012 was by far one of the most sobering, albeit medicated, years of my life yet and now I'm back from the bogs with a renewed interest in existence.
A new terrarium is being added to the terrarium gallery. This one involves a fern that is cute as a button, hence the name "button fern". The moss is so soft, it feels like a velveteen carpet. My moss obsession has reached an all time high, and it has pretty much taken over the other mediums I've worked with in the past. A dream of mine is to wear moss like a full length robe. Has it been done yet? All the time, I am wondering how this obsession began. Is it a result of being deprived of the natural wilderness?

This 2012 colored pencil illustration on black paper somehow escaped my art gallery altogether, until now. The volume of art hoarded in my home is ridiculous and often times things are overlooked or swept under the carpet. Most likely, I will be producing a limited number of prints of this piece very soon.
Somehow, I wish there were ways to show everything I've done with my art on this website, but that would require such extensive coding and graphical revamping that I simply don't have time for. This draws on another relevant subject that should be explained here. Why I don't use social networking... The clutter of the human mind is tumultuous and often times unnecessary. Opinions, criticisms and even praise can lead to an egotistical spike or crash. Some find it hard to imagine that life without a cell phone or other numerous electronic social outlets is possible. My only social pride is speaking to people around me, or individually as in e-mail or phone calls from home. That being said, I hope this website will serve as a sanctuary and reminder for the peace and quiet we all deserve. Look at some art, and not feel the need to comment, "like", or be heard. However, I encourage e-mails if there are any questions to be asked or rectifications to be made! Please contact trixygrace@gmail.com.

Here is a new sculpture made from Polymer clay and painted with acrylic paints. This means my art gallery finally got an update in the sculpture section! I plan to do a limited number of casts of this 3.5" tall Yeti, since I've also made a two part mold of him. The test run with Epoxy resin didn't go as well as I had hoped. It smells awful!! Took a week to air the smell out of the house.

Over the winter, I made the mistake of photographing my terrariums. Due to lacking the vigor they show during spring and summer, I decided to redo the photos. The horticulture gallery will be updated throughout the year as my projects continue to improve within their glassy confines. Promises of being a better webmaster..!!

Castle Landscape, 2012

Due to having both feet broken, these past several weeks have been extraordinarily difficult as I'm sure you can imagine. However, I mustered the strength to participate in an art show that was a part of the Oakland Art Murmur earlier this month with my newer pieces being featured. Somehow, I knew this castle would sell right off the wall! Did it ever. Might be worth mentioning that there are a few prints left of this tantilizing castle landscape that would look beautiful on your parlour wall, in your practice space or bedroom. Prints can be purchased here in my Etsy shop. Because of the medical mishap in an effort to make a few bucks quick so that I may eat, I dropped the price of my prints by HALF! If you know someone who might enjoy this, please share it with them. Thank you!
Was $15.00
Now $8.00 + shipping

Welcome to trixygrace.com!
This marks the week that my website is officially up and running, however lacking in some aspects. I have yet to complete my Art Gallery Shop, which should be figured out within the month. For now, enjoy a look at my art and please let me know if any of my code is malfunctioning. I have tested this site in several browsers using different operating systems, and so far Internet Explorer 8 is the only one to not understand the coding in my Art Gallery.
Although the economy is collapsing, if you do find something on here that you'd want to purchase from me, write to me at trixygrace@gmail.com for the time being! Thanks!
